We have the right to remove Omar Ibn Al-Khattab from the biography books on the library shelves, to our daily walk..to our lives..
The time has come for us to bring Umar ibn al-Khattab's understanding of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet from history books into practical application.
The age-old understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah, at a very precise stage of Islamic history, is what extended this history horizontally and vertically, horizontally in the conquests of countries, vertically in the horizons of justice, construction and advancement...
We cannot claim that this understanding of the age is the only correct understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah..but we claim that this understanding, which contributed to the creation of Islamic civilization, is exactly what we need today, among all the understandings that may be appropriate in other historical stages..
Today, in this nadir that we have reached, in our aspiration to get out of it, we need to understand Omar, to Omar's head, to see Omar, to get out of what we are.
