Not everyone who comforts you is free from grief.
Perhaps he knew what it means to grieve and find no one to console him!
Not everyone who gives you is rich.
Perhaps he knew very well what it means to need and not find!
Nor everyone who pats you on the shoulder has no concern.
Perhaps he wanted to supplicate in another way, so he says silently while he is gracious to you:
Here I am patting people's shoulders, so pat me on the shoulder, O God!
